Students will be exposed to the media, media players, gatekeepers, editorial and various aspects of writings. Writing involves ethics and is governed by media law in which this module will be very important in guiding the students in producing writings for media and widely practice in the field of broadcasting.

This course introduces students to theories, concepts, terminologies and the fundamentals of mass media study. This will be examined from two different perspectives:
The Mass Media: Students will learn how major mass media work– books, magazines, newspapers, recordings, movies, radio, television and the web. It will include the learning of current industry practices, technologies in operation, processes and functions and the economics of major mass media. Students will also learn current development and future trends in mass media. The course will provide a foundation for understanding the mass media and the dynamics that affect the messages that the mass media transmit.
Mass Messages & Culture: This course is based on the premise that the media play a significant role in contemporary societies. Drawing upon the various media including television, film, radio, internet and the newspapers, the working and organization of the media, the contents and effects of media messages, and the role played by the media in preserving, promoting and / or reforming social values at the local and global levels will be reviewed.

The students will gain a basic understanding of computers and how they relate to business, a basic introduction to a variety of recognized business applications and competency in a range of computer skills.

This course is a skills-based English Language module. Its goal is to develop students' skills in writing business letters and report. Students will also learn effective business presentation skills, focusing on preparation and presentation.
