The Foundation Year Semester 3 History of Art module introduces the students to specific historical areas of Art History chronologically, beginning with Renaissance to early 20th century Art Movements. We will be examining the effects of philosophy, sociology, and history upon the arts of these periods. A secondary component of this module focuses on applying the principles of Art fundamentals onto critical analyses of artworks.

The module is designed to provide students with an exposure & training on design software and fundamentals of digital colours in both theory & practical, while reinforcing the application of elements of design and principles of design digitally.

This unit is designed to give students a practical understanding of what it is like to work as a professional photographer to produce photographic images.
